When it shows up
If you ask for accounts, saved records, dashboards with real data, or member-only pages, Agent plans a backend: entities, access rules, and auth. Marketing-only sites often do not need one.
What it includes
Project-scoped users and sign-in and collections for the records the app needs. You stay in Shipyard — you do not have to stand up a separate database to try the first version.
